New Jersey's Bergen County boasts an exceptionally-large park system consisting of 38 parks totaling 9,000 acres. Park visitors can ride a miniature railroad, golf at one of the five courses, visit spider monkeys at the zoo or swim at Darlington Lake.
The county administrators, in partnership with Rutgers University, gathered a team of consultants spanning multiple disciplines to create a master plan for the county park system. Town Square was engaged to analyze the current agreements with concessionaires and imagine possibilities for new revenue-generating amenities.
